Faith Lived Out ~God’s Wisdom and Encouragement for Christian Wives

The Biblical View of Marriage & Becoming a Submissive Wife Are you a Christian wife who wants the loving godly marriage that the Lord designed for you, but are unsure what that looks like or how to get it? Do you want to have confidence in your marriage and being the submissive wife you are called to be, without the fear that you’re doing it wrong? Is it a struggle to know what the truth is, to stop worrying all the time, and to put your faith and trust in the Lord? Then you’ve come to the right place. I’ve got you! Here is where you will find biblical answers to life’s challenging questions about marriage. How to have confidence and peace in your role as a submissive wife. Hear encouraging wisdom from God’s Word and to learn put your trust in Him as you live out your faith everyday. Hey girl, I’m Nanci Adamson. Christian Mentor, Bible Teacher, Speaker, Women’s ministry leader, mom to 3, and Grammy to 7 sweet babies who are the light of my life. I see you and I get you, because I’ve been there. As a young wife it was important to me to have a strong, loving marriage, but I didn’t come from a Christian home so there was no example to follow for how to achieve that. All I knew was that I wanted a better marriage and family life than what I grew up in. Over the years the Lord has taught me how to find biblical answers to life’s questions in His Word and to rely on His wisdom, not the world’s for guidance and direction in my life. When we know His Word and apply it to our lives, then we will truly have peace as we trust our Heavenly Father for our marriages. This is what living out our faith is all about and it can bring you to new heights, life changing experiences, and amazing blessings in your life that you thank God for everyday. He did it for me and He wants to do it for you. Are you ready for it? Then grab some coffee, pull up a chair next to mine and let’s get started! In the last two episodes we have looked at how Christ loves the church as an example of what the husband's role is in marriage. Knowing that none of us can live up to the perfect love of Christ, we have also talked about what our realistic expectations of our husbands should be.
By knowing what their role is, having grace and mercy to understand that we are all a work in progress, by being encouraging, rather than fight against them, we can work together with our husbands to have the kind of loving marriage that God designed for us to have.
So join me as we finish up our journey of a realistic view of the husband’s role in marriage, what our expectations should be, and how we as wives can help to encourage a more Christlike love in our marriage.
Let’s get started.

Last week we began our journey into the husband's role in marriage as we looked at Christ's example of an active love and a sacrificial love. We also looked at what our realistic expectations should be in this and how when we do our part as wives, we are helping to support our husbands in their role as well.
As we continue our conversation, we will discuss 3 more examples of how Christ loves the church with His protecting love, purifying love, and caring love. We will go over what these look like in practical terms and when it may be time to have a conversation to make some changes.
Join me as we unpack these vital aspects of a God-designed love and follow His amazing plan for our marriages
Let’s get started.

Many of us come into marriage with notions of what it will be like. Some of our ideas come from what we saw with our parents or other relatives, what we have seen portrayed in sitcoms, movies or what we have read in books.
We also may know what scripture says about the roles of husbands and wives and have our own version as to what this looks like in our minds.
However, are we accurate and realistic of our husband's role? Are we expecting too little or too much from them?
Today, we will begin our journey into a realistic view of how a husband is to love his wife, as Christ loves the church. As well as how you can encourage him in his role to improve your relationship.
Let’s get started.

As we talked about last week, we all have stress or anxiety from time to time, and have felt the negative emotions of being annoyed, frustrated, or even angry in our marriages.
Christen shared with us how the simple use of essential oils with the power of scripture, helped her with the stresses of law school and brought her back into a right relationship with the Lord.
Today, we continue our conversation as Christen shares her testimony of how using a sensory routine enabled her to work through some of the negative emotions she was feeling in her marriage and to ward off the attacks of the enemy by taking her thoughts captive.
It’s a relatable powerful testimony that you’re not going to want to miss.

As busy wives and moms, we all have a certain amount of stress and anxiety. Yes, we are told in scripture not to worry, however as we all know, that is much easier said than done.
We also know that the blessing of being married, brings with it a gamut of emotions from love, excitement, and even joy, to feelings of being annoyed, frustrated, and yes, sometimes down right angry.
My guest today is going to share with us how she used essential oils with the power of scripture, to calm her anxiousness, manage her stress level in the moment, and to work through her emotions as God worked to heal and strengthen her marriage.
I’m so excited to be sharing this with you today!
Let’s get started.

As believers, many of us know that we should be a part of a church family and be attending church regularly. Last week we talked about how being a part of a fellowship of believes can help us to improve our marriage and our family’s life.
However, the thought of finding one or what to even look for, can be an overwhelming and daunting task.
As promised, I’m going to help you with that today by sharing with you what the foundational basis of a church should be, what their statement of faith should look like, and what to look for in finding a solid biblical church for your family.
Let’s get started!

Key points discussed in this episode include:
Understanding the importance of a church's foundational basis, including the sufficiency of Scripture and doctrinal soundness.
What to look for in a church's statement of faith and why it matters.
The significance of Bible teaching and preaching in equipping the saints.
The importance of doctrinal practice and living out the one another's in Scripture.
How to identify if a church is preaching the full gospel truth and not a watered-down version.
Recognizing the role of various ministries in a church and opportunities for serving.
Warning signs to avoid, such as churches influenced by worldly views or those more concerned with traditions than equipping the saints.

It happens all the time, a problem arises, things get busy, and attending church becomes less and less of a priority or falls by the wayside altogether. We have well-meaning intentions that we are only going to skip church for a short time for this one thing.
But then, as our weekends get filled up with activities, it becomes harder and harder to get back into the habit of getting everybody up, ready, and out the door on a Sunday morning.
If this goes on long enough, we may even begin to lose sight of why we were going in the first place and what difference does it really make in our lives?
But ladies, it does make a difference and can be a vital part of bringing about the changes that you want to see in yourself and your marriage. Today I want to encourage you by sharing with you 5 ways that being in church can improve your marriage and your family life.
Let’s get started.

In this episode:
Biblical truth addressing common debates about the necessity of church attendance.
Learn five transformative ways attending church can improve your marriage and family life.
The importance of being part of a church family, not just for spiritual growth but also for the practical support it provides in challenging times.
How church participation helps families grow and stay grounded in God's word rather than worldly influences.
Bonus point about the blessings that come from being part of a church body.

As believers and women, we desire to please God and to please our husbands. To be the godly wife and woman that we read about in scripture. We also know that following God’s ways is what is best for our personal lives and our marriages.
What we tend to struggle with is the how. How do we learn what God’s way are, what a submissive wife looks like, and how to be a woman with a gentle and quiet spirit?
As a young wife I was the same way. I knew what kind of a life and marriage I wanted to have, I just didn’t know what my part was in getting it.
