As a young wife it was important to me to have a strong, loving marriage, but I didn’t come from a Christian home so there was no example to follow for how to achieve that. All I knew was that I wanted a better marriage and family life than what I grew up in. Over the years the Lord has taught me how to find biblical answers to life’s questions in His Word and to rely on His wisdom, not the world’s for guidance and direction in my life. When we know His Word and apply it to our lives, then we will truly have peace as we trust our Heavenly Father for our marriages. This is what living out our faith is all about and it can bring you to new heights, life changing experiences, and amazing blessings in your life that you thank God for everyday. Can one person change the course of a marriage? Absolutely. However, it cannot be done by forcing the issue, coercion, or manipulation. Nor is it through constant conversations of how things need to be different, changed, or made better.

There is a lot of talk today about how husbands are not stepping up to be the spiritual leader of their family. How they are not taking the time pray with their wives or children, not leading in devotions, Bible study or in being the godly example we desire them to be.
As wives and moms, we are frustrated and discontent with this lack of spiritual leadership and in trying to get our husbands to step up to the plate to fulfill this role.
Today we’re going look at why men are not being the spiritual leader of their home, where our discontentment in this stems from, and how we can lovingly encourage them to embrace their God-given role as leaders.
I am rather riled up about this topic and you may be surprised as to why and what part of it has gotten me so worked up.

Since we were little girls, we have had thoughts and dreams of what our married life would be like. All of these were heightened when we found the man of our dreams and began to plan a life together.
But now the excitement of the wedding and moving in together has passed and things are not quite what you expected them to be. Something happened to that blissful romantic love that you had between one another and you have become a bit disappointed as to what marriage is really like and who this man is that you married.

We all have an idea in our mind of what a perfect relationship looks like. However, I would imagine that most of our ideas might be a bit one-sided in how our relationship is going to meet our own wants and desires.
In scripture, we are given the example of a perfect relationship in the Trinity. One that is characterized by unity, love, willful submission, and trust.
Today we'll explore this perfect relationship and how following its example will help you to be a better wife and nurture a more loving, Christ-centered marriage.

It's true, not all husbands meet our expectations of the honest, hard working, caring, and respected man we dreamed of marrying. The way they think may be different, their level of integrity, or how they provide for the family may less than what you were raised with or the kind of man your father is.
When this happens, it’s easy to feel disappointed in your husband's behavior, actions, or how he treats you and others, making showing him any kind of respect seem impossible.
However, in this episode we will take a look at some practical ways that you can start fresh by wiping the slate clean, respect out of obedience to God, and make changes by sharing your wisdom and expertise.

When we are hurt by those closest to us, those who are suppose to be the people we can trust, the pain runs deep and it can be incredibly difficult to forgive.
You may be afraid to forgive and let go because if you let our guard down, it may happen again, causing more pain and making you look like a fool for trusting them. You may have tried to forgive but can't seem to get the thoughts and visions from replaying over and over again in your mind.
In this episode, we're diving into why forgiving someone is so crucial for your own healing, as well as three essential steps to help you truly forgive in your heart, let go of the pain, and move forward to restoring your relationship.
